Program. Program flea treatment is an oral treatment. It comes in tablets and actually has no effect on adult fleas. Instead it prevents eggs and larvae from developing. Of course this method will take a few weeks until you see the actual results. It is available for three different sizes of dog, 11-20 lbs, 21-45 lbs, and 46-90 lbs. This chewable tablet can be given to puppies when they are 6 weeks old. It is available online.

Revolution. Protects your dog from parasites like mange, fleas, and ear mites while preventing heartworm. It does kill adult fleas and prevents the eggs from hatching. However it is only waterproof for two hours. A topical monthly application, it can be applied as early as 6 weeks and comes in 4 sizes. 5-10 lbs, 10-20 lbs, 20-40 lbs, and 40-90 lbs. Frontline. Frontline comes in three different products. A spray application and two topical applications, Frontline Plus and Frontline Top Spot. The spray application is used for quick eliminations of flea and ticks and applied once every 30 days. Top Spot kills 100% of fleas in 24 hours, continues to kill them for up to a month and is also waterproof. Frontline plus is the latest Frontline product, it not only kills adult fleas and ticks but it also kills all stages of flea and ticks. It is waterproof for 30 days, comes in 4 dosage sizes and readily available online.
